- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion diced
- 1 can 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can 15 oz pinto beans, drained
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups frozen tater tots
- 1 tsp chili powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat in a cast iron skillet until browned.
Stir in cream of mushroom soup, pinto beans, chili powder, and black pepper.
Transfer the mixture to a casserole dish and top with shredded cheese.
Arrange tater tots in an even layer on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes or until the tater tots are golden brown.
Let sit for 10 minutes before serving.
